Aggregate/Material
Here at Bigfoot Site Services LLC, we are able to acquire just about any aggregate material including both natural and imitation stone. Below is a list of the most common types of aggregate that we provide. If you do not see what you are looking for in this list give us a call and we can provide availability and pricing for the material you are needing.
Fill Dirt/Hard Pan
Fill Dirt/Hard Pan is perfect for filling in holes or low spots to fix any uneven grade.
Foundation fill dirt
Foundation Fill is screened fill dirt that is free of any organics and is needed for a structural foundation for buildings or house pads. Foundation fill compacts very well and is not prone to settling.
Sandy Clay Mix
Sandy Clay is a mixture of sand with orange clay and is good for filling in low spot or use as a fill underneath loose gravel or limestone driveways. Sandy/Clay is not suitable for any structural foundation as it is prone to settling overtime.
Top Soil
Topsoil is high in nutrients for landscaping or gardening and provides the needed for nutrients grass, sod, flowers, or vegetables.
Limestone Road Base
Limestone Road Base is a budget friendly material that provides a hard base and can be used for either a first lift and top dressed with other material or used as is. It comes in a range from a grey-white to an orange tint. As it compacts and dries in the sun it hardens like concrete to provide a durable driving surface. Downsides to Limestone Road Base are that it can tend to be dusty and is prone to washout if there is moving water over it if left as a final layer. If your area is prone to washout and erosion another material like a larger stone or something with a binder may be better suited for your application.
#57 Limestone Gravel
#57 Limestone Gravel is stone that is roughly 3/4” in size and a white-grey in color. Limestone gravel is an excellent step up in both aesthetic and washout resistance over its Road Base counterpart. Limestone gravel is a natural stone that has increased durability and is less prone to washout in areas with moving water.
Crushed Concrete (Crushcrete)
Asphalt Millings
Asphalt Millings are the top tier when it comes to loose fill driveway and parking lot material. Made of milled and recycled “hot asphalt”, it lays down well and the asphaltic compound provides a binder that locks in and holds itself together. Because of this asphalt millings have a long service life and have a very high resilience to washout and erosion when present. Millings can be rolled and compacted to provide a smoother, tighter packed surface to imitate very closely to hot asphalt.
Rip Rap
Rip Rap is a natural Flint/Limestone mix that can be processed from large stones to smaller fines and is a great base for road construction as well as for erosion control where there is a high volume of water flow as well as for lining of drainage basins.
#89 Pea Gravel
#89 Pea Gravel is roughly 3/8” in size and can be used for driveways, landscaping, and drainage around French drains and leach fields to provide better percolation.
Paver Base
Paver base is a fine sand and gravel mixture that provides a solid base to lay pavers down on to reduce the settling that would happen on patios, walkways, and driveways if not used.
